New York’s TSB November special flying in select US-based Guilty Gear and BlazBlue competitors

The New York City anime scene is known for their popular Next Level Arcade and Team St1ckbug events. While they have local tournaments all the time, a November event is looking to heat things up by encouraging a few players from the fighting game to participate. With player support, there will be select Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and BlazBlue: Central Fiction competitors, who have never been to a TSB event, joining the fray.

“As one of the premier Anime Locals in the country, we are always looking to grow, reach out to the community, and involve all of our viewers in the experience, no matter where they are,” the Matcherino event page states. The TSB staff elected three players from across the United States for BlazBlue and Guilty Gear.

For Guilty Gear, we have:

  • Voguekun — Kum Haehyun
  • Mr. Dolphin — May
  • Faulty Defense — Answer

As for BlazBlue, there are:

  • Tectal_Eastside — Mu=12
  • Fame96 — Susano’o
  • Milk Kaichou — Rachel

Visit the TSB Yabai Invasion page on Matcherino for more details about each entrant. It’s possible to vote for an entrant for free by entering “Yabai” into the voting form. The tournament will take place on November 11th.

Companion of Adventure is Bless Online’s mini game that allows players to tame mounts, pets and companions out in the wild. In the “Rebuild” project for the game, Neowiz has produced a new video to give you a look at several components of the system as they have been redone for the updated version.

Final Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite character tutorials: Jedah, Frank West, Doctor Strange, Rocket, Firebrand, & Spider-Man

We’ve finally arrived at the final six official character tutorials for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite‘s 30-character launch roster, courtesy of FingerCramp and Unequalled Media. This final set looks at the “Distressed Lord Of Death” and co-ruler of the Dark Kingdom, Jedah Dohma, Frank West, Doctor Strange, Rocket Raccoon, Firebrand, and your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

As is customary, Capcom UK Community Manager Matt “The Street Writer” Edwards provides a brief character overview, before dissecting each fighter’s specials, Hyper combos, and unique skills — such as Spider-Man’s Web Glide or Jedah’s ability to cancel his forward and back dashes into each other for extremely tricky movement angles. He then moves on to basic and advanced combo breakdowns — displayed at both normal and 50% speed — before closing on a recommended choice of Infinity Stone. We also get a listen to each character’s new theme — though Firebrand’s mistakenly seems to use Arthur’s again. You can view all six videos below.

Capcom Japan has also released their own trailer for the self-proclaimed “Vampire Savior.”

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam PC. The first six DLC characters, Sigma, Black Panther, Monster Hunter, Black Widow, Winter Soldier and Venom, will also likely get character tutorials closer to their releases.

Hyper Universe – New Hyper Arrives Along with New Event Map

Hyper Universe has been updated again, this time with a new Hyper named Signal joining the rest. In addition, a new event map called Fortress of the Guardians has been added to the game. From now through October 4th, players can team up to capture shrines on the map. Teams will compete to capture these shrines and score 25 points for beating their opponents on the way to scoring 100 total points. However, each round of the event sees shrines randomly placed.
