Another customization option is coming your way!

The long-awaited 24mm versions of Sanwa Denshi’s silver and gold metallic pushbuttons were announced at Tokyo Game Show this week. (24mm is the “start button” size used on arcade sticks/cabinets, the face buttons used during gameplay are 30mm.) Those looking to add that extra gleam to their fightsticks can now match the start/selection buttons to their metallic 30mm counterparts — this opens up new customization options for Hit Box users, too!

The buttons are available for pre-order now from Arcade Shock, expecting to ship in early October. You might want to check out the 30mm originals (currently restocking, you can pre-order now) and the matching balltops, too.

This past weekend saw the first closed beta test for Dragon Ball FighterZ. The test saw a number of lucky players get a chance to test out the game, and its online play.

Now, seeing as this was a beta test (and not just a glorified demo) Bandai Namco Games and Arc System Works are looking for feedback from those players who participated in it. As part of this, they’ve put up a survey over on Survey Monkey so that players can send in their feedback and impressions. If you’re one of the players who participated in the beta test, you can find the survey by following this link.

As fighting games move out of the arcades and into homes, online beta tests like this are beginning to become as important as the arcade location tests of old. They’ve become another way for companies to get feedback from actual players before release. That said, this only works if the players do their part and send the feedback back to the developers.
