Pokkén Tournament DX patch notes revealed and translated, plans to drop patch this month

It was previously announced that Pokkén Tournament DX was going to get a new patch, adding the much-begged for recording function and online team battle. The tease also cited new rewards within the game, and promised an ‘enhanced’ experience. The main thing that was missing from the list of promises, though, was a date.

While we still don’t know exactly when, Namco’s latest announcement has helped narrow down the release to mid-November. Considering the time of this publication, that has to be very soon, speculatively within the next week or so. Accompanying this announcement was a list of bug fixes, mostly centered around the inadvertent “infinite jump” glitch Popplio gave. Here’s the listed bug fixes, translated by the good folks over at PokkénArena:

It’s surprising to see a patch from Namco with absolutely no balance changes. It is generally considered that Pokkén Tournament DX is balanced in its current state, but Namco is a company that likes to make revisions — perhaps they are giving DX more time to incubate before committing to any meta-changing decisions.

Bandai Namco asks Anakin and Markman for their predictions for the Tekken World Tour Finals

Bandai Namco has been conducting bite-size Tekken 7 interviews with players involved in the Tekken World Tour Finals; In this clip they ask Anakin and Markman (and by extension, you, the viewer!) what your predictions are for the Tekken World Tour Finals.

Anakin is confident that the playing field is more level then last year’s Tekken World Championships (and how could it not be, considering the world has access to the game now?). MarkMan is looking beyond results, focusing instead on the Tekken scene’s future.

Check out our own breakdown and predictions here! And don’t forget to tune in to the official Tekken Twitch channel to catch Tekken World Tour Finals on Sunday, Nov. 12th at 12:00 PT!

You cannot escape long desks, nor this footage of Geese Howard in Tekken 7

As some of you may know, we’re only just month and change away from Geese Howard making his playable guest appearance in Tekken 7.  For those eagerly awaiting Geese to stain his hands with the blood of King of Iron Fist competitors, Gamespot has put up some early footage of him in the game.

Take note that what we see in the video is far from what we could call high level play. That said, we do see a number of his moves, as well as his unique meter which seems to have been lifted from King of Fighter XIV. In the clip below, we see this meter used to power both a Desperation Move as well as his unique, KoF-esque “MAX Mode”.
