Tekken World Tour Finals interviews asks why qualifiers picked their mains, and who they fear playing the most

Bandai Namco‘s Tekken World Tour Finals Player Interviews series continues! In this installment, Speedkicks, Anakin, Jimmy J Tran, and Joey Fury are asked about why they picked their mains, and which player they least want to play in the finals.

The former questions’s responses are jovial and often can be summarized as “I thought this character was cool when I first saw Tekken!” But it’s the latter question that really shows where these guys are, mentally: “At some point, you’re going to have to play someone that’s fantastic at Tekken,” Joey Fury shrugs when he’s asked who he wants to avoid fighting the most. If there is a candid moment that shows the difference in mentality between top tier players and the field, this is it. “There’s no sense in saying, ‘Oh, I hope I don’t run into that person.’”
