After having Street Fighter V on the Genesis 4 line-up, the Genesis TO is adding more traditional fighting games to its next event. Alongside the big three of Super Smash Bros. 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Genesis 5 will have tournaments for Street Fighter V, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and Pokkén Tournament DX.

If you want to literally style on your opponent, Genesis 5 will also be running a DDR Extreme tournament — so lace up your dancing shoes and start practicing. The SFV, MvC:I, Pokkén DX and DDR Extreme events will all take place on the Saturday (January 20th), and players can purchase a special $30 one-day pass if they are only attending for these tournaments.

General registration for Genesis 5 is open until December 4th, with late registration closing on December 26th. If you want to attend Sunday finals at the Paramount Theatre, you will have to buy separate tickets alongside your Genesis 5 pass. New from the “crossovers we dreamed about as kids, but never thought we’d get,” department, Street Fighter-themed Transformer figures are now an officially licensed thing. At least in Japan, anyway.

Available starting in May of 2018, these figures will feature Chun-Li, Ken, Ryu, and M. Bison as transforming collectible toys. The former two will be available in a set that costs ¥8640 (approx. $77 USD), while the latter two will be in a set that costs ¥12960 (approx. $115 USD). The only disappointment in these figures: the wasted opportunity to make Chun-Li into a helicopter.
