Get nasty mixups off of Ken’s V-Trigger when your opponent back rolls in Street Fighter V

It’s been well known for a while that Ken has some nasty meaty setups in Street Fighter V, and these just make his setups even more ambiguous. By connecting his light Tatsu off of a juggle after a V-Trigger confirm, he can actually switch sides. This makes your opponent’s back roll increasingly dangerous for them. You can further make this more deadly by incorporating cross-up air Tatsus after the side switch, making them further guess which side you’ll end up on for the meaty.

Crowfall – ‘Progress Isn’t the Same as Done’ – Soft Launch ‘As Early in 2018 As We Can’

The Crowfall site has been updated with a note to Founders to inform them that the anticipated “soft launch” of the game, originally set for the end of 2017, is not going to happen. The letter speaks about how this has been a fantastic year of progress for Crowfall and that much has been accomplished. However, it is important to note that “progress isn’t the same as done”. With that in mind, the promise is to soft launch Crowfall as early in 2108 as possible.

Justice League gear brings the DCEU design to Injustice 2

Divided we are not enough.

The Justice League from the DC Extended Universe is on its way to Injustice 2 and Injustice 2 Mobile. Players will be able to unlock gear for the legendary super team by earning them through battles.

According to the trailer, the more film-accurate versions of the characters are exclusive to the mobile version of the game, with the console version receiving only the heroes’ gear. This can be expected when the extreme amount of detail within the console version is taken into account. Things like Aquaman’s luxurious locks and actor-accurate face models would be a bit more costly to render than new suits of armor.

This isn’t the first time Injustice 2 featured designs taken from the DCEU. A Wonder Woman event took place to celebrate the release of the film of the same name, granting players Princess Diana’s iconic armor from the film.

The gear looks fantastic — but there is one question that audiences and fighting fans alike have left while we wait for Justice League to release on November 17. Where is Superman?

Here are your nominees for Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards 2017

As the year ends, most people’s thoughts start to go towards the releases of said year, and which ones are the best. One of the spaces where people can look to for this is The Game Awards, the successor to Spike’s Video Game Awards.

One of the categories that The Game Awards has is naturally for the Best Fighting Game, where players get to vote from five nominees for which game they believe deserves the award. For this year, the nominees for the award are quite varied, going beyond traditional fighting games and looking at some of the year’s more innovative titles.

The nominees are:

  • Tekken 7
  • Nidhogg 2
  • Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
  • ARMS
  • Injustice 2

It’s interesting to note, however, that while we have more fighting game nominees this year — five up from four — there are less fighting games in the awards in total. No fighting games have been nominated for eSports Game of the Year, nor any fighting game players for eSports Player of the Year.

The Game Awards 2017 will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on December 7, 2017.
