– Get Your Avengers Alliance Fix with Marvel Strike Force

I honestly never expected to see another Marvel game in that style again, especially not so soon, but a new title called Marvel Strike Force was recently announced. Currently only available in soft-launch in New Zealand and Canada, Marvel Strike Force is more of a clone of the incredibly popular Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes than it is Avengers Alliance, but the experience is close enough.

Pre-Capcom Cup Wednesday Night Fights results

With Capcom Cup just a day away, the world’s top Street Fighter V players are all concentrated in South California — ready for a weekend’s worth of competition. Some are safely through to the Capcom Cup bracket, while others are limbering up for a tough climb through the Last Chance Qualifier. Acting as a fantastic warm-up before the tournament begins, this week’s Wednesday Night Fights was an international affair.

Players from France, Japan, the UK, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates were in attendance — with the Top 8 looking like the finals of a well-attended Ranking event on the Capcom Pro Tour. While the US contenders put on a good show, the combined might of players like Punk, 801 Strider and Pnoy were not able to stop a South East Asia Grand Finals — with the tournament ultimately being won by Infiltration and his Menat.

Infiltration looked on fire throughout his run, winning the tournament from Winners’ Side and defeating players like Punk, Imstilldadaddy, Luffy and Itabashi Zangief on the way. If he is able to keep this momentum up, we could see the Evo 2016 champion triumphant in the Last Chance Qualifier. He also had a choice word to say to Punk at the close of the event — which you can see in the clip below.

RESULTS:

“Hadoken in a can.” — Get a closer look at Red Bull’s 30th Anniversary costumes in their promotional trailer

A slightly different way to get your SFV DLC…

Red Bull started their big energy drink redemption rollout last month; if the promotion is available in your region, you should be seeing the special Street Fighter V Red Bull cans on store shelves in your neighborhood. The codes printed on the tabs of these cans are redeemable online for exclusive costumes that can be used in the Street Fighter V game itself — at least on the PlayStation 4 version, anyway.

There are sixteen available outfits; they are Red Bull colored/branded variants of either the default, Story, or Battle Costume for the respective character. (The characters that you can unlock outfits for are Zangief, Chun-Li, Nash, M. Bison, Vega, R. Mika, Rashid, Karin, Cammy, Balrog, Ken, Kolin, Ryu, Laura, Guile, and Akuma.)

If you want a closer look at them in motion, you can see them in all their Red Bullish glory in this promotional trailer!
