GEICO Gaming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Invitational results

Earlier this week, GEICO Gaming sponsored an online Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite invitational with eight of the finest players in the game today, each looking to showcase their skills in the new meta following the “Dante Must Die” balance patch earlier this month. With the always-Marvelous duo of IFC Yipes and Persia on commentary, and a few players busting out new characters and Infinity Stones for the first time, it was definitely an entertaining evening of action for any Marvel head out there.

Who is “G”? BornFree explores theories on the identity of Street Fighter V’s Season 3 newcomer

The “fighting president” (if that’s what he is) is still cloaked in mystery.

SFV Season 3 characters

Two new fighters for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition were revealed at Capcom Cup 2017 in the new opening cinematic: Ed’s Neo-Shadaloo compatriot Falke, and the mysterious “G” — at this point, pretty much a complete unknown. Who is G, and where does he fit into the world of Street Fighter?

In the video below, BornFree relates six different theories as to who this newcomer may be. Does “G” just stand for “gold” as part of a pro-wrestling persona? Is G Abraham Lincoln resurrected/cloned by the Illuminati? Is there a connection to Greg from Bloody Roar? Is G just Gill in disguise…? Check out the video and decide for yourself.

VesperArcade talks about changes found in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, including Ryu’s added “donkey kick”

A look at the balance changes discovered at PSX in the upcoming build of Street Fighter V.

The new V-Triggers were the highlight of the demo build of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on display at PSX; but naturally hands-on play revealed additional differences between SFVAE and the current Season 2 system.

In the video below, VesperArcade talks about some of the differences that were found: starting with the change to throw loops, apparent increased recovery time on command grabs, nerfed anti-air jabs (again), and a detailed examination of how Ryu’s returning Joudan Sokutogeri (“donkey kick”) appears to work.

It is known that the version of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition shown off at PSX is not the final retail version, so we still may — and likely will — see changes between what we saw there and what arrives in-game on January 16th.

There’s still 1 frame of native offline lag in Tekken 7 on PC, and players are working to remove it

In the wake of rejoicing over the PlayStation 4’s input lag fix for Tekken 7, SRK forum member WAZAAAAA (with the help of Hardcore) discovered that there is still a wall between you and your inputs on PC.

It may only be 1 frame in size, but that one frame is potentially the difference between you blocking some lows on reaction or not. With that in mind, this Duo developed a tool to remove this frame of input lag from the PC version. You can read more about their tests to prove the existence of this input lag, overview of the tool, and their future plans for it here.
