Team NINJA teases an announcement at NEC18 following Dead or Alive 5 finals
It has been known for some time that this would be the last year of support from Team NINJA on Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. As such, all eyes have been on NEC18 — which has long supported the series and looked to be the last Koei Tecmo supported event for the title.
As such, hopes have been that a new title in the DOA franchise would be announced at the event, and the team tweeted a teaser that alludes to the possibility of just that. Posting the “I’m a Fighter,” tagline that was first used in their marketing campaign for Dead or Alive 5, Team NINJA states for people to stick around after the tournament ends for an announcement.
Are they preparing to release a Dead or Alive 6? Tune in this weekend to find out!
Good luck to all the fighters that will be attending our Battle Royal 2017 Grand Finals event at NEC18. Make sure to stick around until the finals are over. There will be an announcement once the prizes are given to the champions on Dec. 17th. Stream info will be posted soon. pic.twitter.com/1RaFW8sTTU

Japan’s esports industry will start issuing “pro licenses” for select players
To sidestep Japan’s strict gambling laws, the country’s esports industry will be issuing pro licenses to select players from 2018. This initiative should see pros earning payouts from tournaments similar to sports pros, and hopes to kickstart the Japanese esports boom.

Frame 3:
Shoryuken review: HORI Fighting Edge arcade stick for PlayStation 4
As one of SRK’s resident tech enthusiasts, I’m definitely jealous that EiC mushin_Z got his hands on the new Fighting Edge. I do have to admit, however, that he put together a great review. Check it out!
Extra Frame:
Sakura, Sagat, Cody, Blanka, Falke and G are coming in Street Fighter V’s 3rd season
When Capcom Cup 2017 reached its conclusion, Capcom not only confirmed Sakura for SFV, but learned from this past year of leaks (and complaints) and showed us the full Season 3 DLC roster — but poor Honda wallows in his bathhouse as the only Street Fighter II era fighter still left out.
