A special vendor will sell legendaries according to class and spec in exchange for 175 Wakening Essences that are gathered through raids, dungeons and emissary chests. Purchasing a legendary will not affect chances of getting further legendaries. Currently, 50 Wakening Essences are collected to upgrade legendaries, currently iLevel 1000.

Pre-Cooperation Cup 2018 streaming live from Taito, Tokyo
Cooperation Cup is the biggest yearly celebration of one the most beloved fighting games, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike. Hosted in Tokyo, Japan and now in its sixteenth year, the event continues to grow year after year, with a record 108 teams entered in the Cooperation Cup and 70 teams in the Pre-Cooperation Cup this year. If you’re looking to get your fix of high-end 3rd Strike play, look no further!
As with previous years, the event begins with the Pre-Cooperation Cup on Saturday, A 5on5 pre-festival primarily consisting of same-character teams. The action continues on Sunday with the Cooperation Cup proper, also a 5on5 event. Both events follow the same basic structure. In the First Round, the teams are separated into blocks of 3 or 4 teams in round-robin play. First place from each block advances, to the 2nd Round, while second place advances to the first Playoff. The 2nd Round splits the teams into 7 blocks, with the top team advancing to Final Tournament and the remaining teams going to the second Playoff. In first Playoff, each team picks a representative to face-off in 1on1 matches against the other teams in a single elimination format. The single surviving team advances to the second Playoff with the teams from the 2nd Round and the format is repeated, with one team advancing to fill out the bracket of 8 in the Final Tournament.
Cooperation Cup is a chance to watch some of the legends of 3rd Strike in action. Haitani, Kuroda, Daigo Umehara, BOSS, Onuki, Kokujin, RX,Yakkun, Issei and Nica KO are just a few of the 500+ names that will be competing over the weekend. Valentine’s quest for vengeance continues in this combo video for Skullgirls 2nd Encore
Showing us that the Skullgirls love is alive and well in 2018, YouTuber SuperSonicKeyBrian comes at us with an awesome combo video for Valentine, the Skullgirls community’s surgical sweetheart.
The highlight of Valentine’s gameplay is the multitude of diverse tools she has at her disposal. According to her story’s canon, she employs the use of all four of her fallen ninja comrades’ weapons of choice, and the range and versatility of her attacks can make it seem like you are fighting four different characters.

Watch Evolution Guilty Gear champs Ogawa and Machabo face off in a FT10 at Kemonomichi
The Kemonomichi exhibition event provided plenty of thrills from a triad of games this week, but Guilty Gear fans had an epic first-to-ten set to feast on. Playing the Xrd REV 2 version, we get to see none other than the legendary Ogawa versus the amazing Machabo play each other in an hour-long, grueling set.
While Ogawa has always stuck to Eddie/Zato=1, Machabo has switched characters from time to time. Rather than Sin, he’s been seen using Ky Kiske in REV 2. Both players show mastery not only of their mechanics but also display years of practice in the most difficult Guilty Gear mechanics; precise Instant Blocking, backdashing, and air-throwing, among others. Ky is good at everything more of an all-around character than Zato=1, so there’s enormous strategy in managing his shadow, Eddie; Machabo is at a great disadvantage whenever Ogawa starts combined pressure and can only get out with some amazing blocks or is forced to Burst. Ky can dominate neutral however with good pokes and by taking Stun Edge shots at the shadow to take it out of the picture.
It’s Evolution Champion 2016 versus Evolution Champion 2015 in an epic set not to be missed; Ogawa goes on quite the winning streak and it seems like Machabo will fall behind, but he catches up. Check it out below, starting from about the 1 hr 06 min mark.

The first chapter of The King of Fighters: A New Beginning is now available
“I am the King of Fighters!”
The King of Fighters: A New Beginning has officially begun its weekly run on Pocket Shonen Magazine. The manga was first announced last November and will be compiled monthly within Shonen Sirius Magazine.
The first chapter of the manga is available to read on the Pocket Shonen Magazine app, and online through a browser. While the chapter itself may be brief, it sets the stage — both literally and figuratively — for the epic fights to come. The art is truly something to behold, Kyoutarou Azuma does a marvelous job portraying the characters with stellar style.
This is the first time in over 20 years that a Japanese manga has been in production for The King of Fighters series. Previously, a manhua (a Chinese graphic novel) was made for The King of Fighters XIV, which ran for eight chapters. Hopefully, A New Beginning will be able to flesh out the story far further and provide an interesting take on the franchise and its characters. The manga is currently only available in Japanese.
