Dragon Ball FighterZ roundup: 2H scaling, Android 16 block pressure, Golden Frieza loops, and more!
Who’s ready for more Dragon Ball FighterZ gameplay? Despite the (lovingly) sarcastic answer of “Not Namco,” DBFZ continues to dominate the minds (and social media feeds) of the FGC. As usual, the more people play the more they discover, and we have just some of those discoveries right here. Let’s jump into today’s submissions!
Leading today is jmcrofts, who covers some system mechanics not taught in DBFZ’s training mode, such as reflect properties and Level 3 DHC’s.
GLHFtv breaks down jump cancel scaling vs. 2H combo filler.
Here’s an absurdly powerful juggle loop for Golden Frieza from Victor Thammavong.
CDV|WhiteBl4ck shows off the giant damage of Goku Black.
As usual, Clayton “Final Showdown” Chapman has some flashy and powerful combos to show off. Check out the Frieza fireball loops, in particular!
Hit’s unusual moveset means he has to take some different combo routes to get decent damage. As Warui Neko-kun shows, though, damage scaling works out pretty well for Hit overall.
SupahFro64 shows off his corner combos with Cell. I kind of wish there were more characters that could whiff special moves mid-combo, purely for showoff-related purposes.
@gramofdata has a meter positive block string with the game’s Goku-dunking grappler, Android 16.
You ever just… build over a bar of meter from a plus-on-block blockstring?#DBFZ #DBFZTechhttps://t.co/MdHfCGzhXH pic.twitter.com/Cs0UJXhR6v

And last but not least, TGN Anime shows off the moveset of Captain Ginyu (and the Ginyu Force!).
As always, if you see anything worth sharing, let us know by submitting a tip for our next roundup. Thanks everyone!

See Doctrine Dark in action in this Fighting EX Layer footage from Evo Japan
As you all may know, ARIKA brought Fighting EX Layer to Evo Japan. This build in particular featured the first publicly-playable appearance of fan-favorite Doctrine Dark in the game.
For those who weren’t able to check out the game at Evo (or those who simply want to see Doctrine Dark in action once again!), ZERP was able to capture some decent off-screen footage of the game at ARIKA’s booth at the event.
The footage features a fair bit of Doctrine Dark play, and even a mirror match.
In addition to the above Doctrine Dark footage, they’ve also shared this footage of Shirase and Allen Snyder.
Fighting EX Layer is set to launch on PlayStation 4 sometime later this year.
