Sam “Trilby” Foxall, Assistant Editor:
While new fighter Grøh looks interesting, the best thing about this trailer was seeing my old main Nightmare smashing the opposition into dust. I can’t wait to hit people with that horseback Critical Finish.
Frame 2:
Oswald revealed as latest DLC character for The King of Fighters XIV
Pick a card, any card. The poker-playing hitman Oswald is coming to The King to Fighters XIV as a DLC fighter. While we have no news of a release date, he is playable at Evo Japan this weekend, so expect some early impressions from the event.
To celebrate the release of Monster Hunter World, Capcom have prepared special Monster Hunter costumes for Street Fighter V, based on fan-favorite armor sets from the action-RPG. They join the Extra Battle rotation on February 27th, starting with Ken’s Rathalos armor.

Frame 1:
PNDK&M break down the history of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3’s meta
As someone who wasn’t around for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, this sort of deep dive into the final state of the game is genuinely fascinating. It’s clearly a labor of love, and one that has paid off in spades.
Frame 2:
A 9-month labor of love for Arakune results in unusual combo video for BlazBlue: Central Fiction
During my brief dips into BlazBlue, Arakune fascinated and horrified me in equal measure. This is ample evidence that I should have been far, far more afraid.
Frame 3:

Dragon Ball FighterZ is already one of my favorite fighting games of the last 12 months, but it’s also already clear that there are going to be a lot of people left feeling overwhelmed. This is a wonderful guide to help you find your feet, thanks to DBFZ’s wonderful community.

BornFree unleashes his full power to express why Dragon Ball FighterZ is such an important new game
This isn’t even BornFree’s final form!
Power levels are reaching well above 9000 — I mean, 8000 — in BornFree’s latest video, in which he discusses why he’s excited for the brand-new Dragon Ball FighterZ (released today)! More so, he’s here to talk about why this title is such a significant release, and how a game in this style, made with the attention to gameplay and love of the source material that DBFZ has been, holds the power to join different parts of the FGC (and other communities) together.
And for those that want to see even more of BornFree’s rage-induced power level spike, check out the extended cut of the “Subpar Saiyan” sequence:
Guys from the future just think they know everything.
