Esports Arena are hosting a special “Battle of the Gods” Dragon Ball FighterZ invitational

Happening straight after the Super Saiyan Showdown between Sean Schemmel and Christopher Sabat, Esports Arena are holding a special Dragon Ball FighterZ invitational — where four top anime fighter players will fight for glory. Hosted by Marc Dorris, this exhibition will have LordKnight, Nakkiel, NerdJosh and Tatsu showing off some high-level DBFZ play, before the game comes out on January 26th.

Tickets are still available from the Esports Arena website and there will be demo stations at the event, meaning you can start experimenting with the full roster before Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s full release. With players discovering tons of tech during the open beta, expect the first two weeks of DBFZ to be truly spectacular.

ARMS, Injustice 2, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Nidhogg 2, & Tekken 7 nominated for D.I.C.E. awards

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has just released their list of nominees for this year’s 21st D.I.C.E. Awards. One of the categories in the D.I.C.E. Awards is for “Fighting Game of the Year,” which is awarded to the fighting game that the academy believes is the best one released this year, naturally.

The nominees cover most of this years big releases as well as a couple of innovative releases, including one indie fighter. Without further ado, here are the nominees for Fighting Game of the Year:

  • ARMS
  • Injustice 2
  • Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
  • Nidhogg 2
  • Tekken 7

In addition to these, Injustice 2 has also received a nomination for Best Sound Design.

The 21st D.I.C.E. Awards will be presented at the D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony on Thursday, February 22 in Las Vegas as part of the 2018 D.I.C.E (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit.
