World of Darkness – Paradox Making Progress to Develop World of Darkness + Vampire: The Masquerade News

Paradox Interactive’s investor report contains a couple of very interesting snips of information for fans of both World of Darkness and Vampire: The Masquerade. CEO Fredrik Wester wrote that both IPs will “step up their visibility in the market by organizing community activities” and more. For World of Darkness, Wester said that “progress is being made with White Wolf Entertainment’s efforts to develop” the game. A new fifth edition board game will be launched for Vampire: the Masquerade.

– Hawaiian Bill Targets Games with Loot Boxes & Limiting Sales to Minors

The Hawaii Tribune is reporting that four bills are moving through the state legislature that take direct and specific aim at games featuring loot boxes. Two of them would prohibit the sale of games with loot boxes costing real world money to anyone under 21. Two other bills would require “publisher to prominently label games containing such randomized purchase systems, as well as disclose the probability rates of receiving each loot box reward.”

Mu Legend – Spellbinder Class to be Added in March

Webzen has announced that MU Legend will be receiving a new class in March 2018. Called the Spellbinder, the class is considered a support mage using psychic powers to use AoE effects that can confuse enemies. To show off her abilities, you can check out the new video Webzen released.

Sea of Thieves – System Specs Revealed + Microtransactions ‘Later’ But Never Loot Boxes

The Sea of Thieves team has revealed the system specs for the game that will be launching on March 20th. In addition, Rare will be adding microtransactions after launch, though they will never include a loot box system. The microtransaction system is “an optional way for people to spend money in our game, because we are running it as a service with a large team.” said Executive Producer Joe Neate. “Anything we add in this area won’t affect power, won’t affect progression.”
