Hearthstone – Ben Brode Announces Next HS Expansion: Year of the Raven with Lunara as the New Hero

The next Hearthstone expansion has been named. Called Year of the Raven, the new content is named for one of the heavenly bodies surrounding Azeroth. Year of the Raven comes with changes to both Standard and Wild game types and will include three new expansions to the card set. In addition, some of the Classic set will be inducted into the “Hall of Fame” and will be usable only in Wild ruleset games.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has become an Xbox Play Anywhere title; receives digital price reduction

While Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will not be a main stage title at this summer’s Evo 2018, the crossover title is still going strong at many other tournaments, and now has a bit more positive news heading its way — particularly to fans of Microsoft gaming platforms.

Windows Central announced today that MvC:I has now received Xbox Play Anywhere support. Established in September 2016, this service allows players to purchase a title digitally on either the Xbox One or Windows 10 PC platform only once to play it on both systems — with all game saves, Achievements, and DLC add-ons carrying over between the two. This makes MvC:I Capcom’s second title to achieve this status, alongside Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The title has also seen a price drop on the digital storefront, with the base game now going for a mere $39.99, as opposed to the previous price of $59.99.

This is certainly positive news for the franchise, and reaffirms that Capcom remains committed to the game’s success in the long-term, with hopefully more players picking up the game as a result of this initiative.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam/Windows 10.

World of Warcraft – The Seething Shore Battleground Now Live on NA Servers for a Limited Time

North American players can now queue up for the brand new battleground called The Seething Shore. The battleground is considered one of the precursors to the upcoming Battle for Azeroth expansion and sees players facing off against the opposite faction to claim Azerite, a new resource that could change the face of warfare on Azeroth forever. The battleground will be available for one week only in each region and will be released in its final form with the expansion.
