– The Protagonist Asks Which Squadmate You’d Prefer – The Prize? Tickets to PAX East

The Protagonist is an upcoming sci-fi turn-based combat RPG that is set in “an alternate world not too different from our own”. It combines a martial arts combat system with turn-based gameplay to provide a unique experience. In a fun and easy contest, the team behind The Protagonist is asking fans to vote who they would prefer their squadmate to be: the Radical or the Angel? Participants can vote via Twitter or Facebook and score a chance to win tickets to PAX East 2018.

Circa Esports to cease operations following Evo 2018

A constant presence in multiple games within the FGC, Circa Esports has announced that the organization will cease operation following this year’s Evo. Announced by Circa Esports CEO Marc Leikach on Twitter, this decision comes as the organization failed to receive a new round of investment capital, just as they were moving into new premises in Florida.

Speaking to Unikrn News following the Twitter statement, Leikach did not want Circa to “end up like the other organizations that screw over their players for not paying or sending them to events,” meaning closing up shop was the only feasible option. Despite the financial issues, currently sponsored players will have their contracts honored up until the end of Evo 2018.

Circa’s involvement in the FGC was not limited to a single game, picking up players and streamers for Injustice 2, Killer Instinct, Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Pokkén Tournament and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, to name but a few.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Ryu and Black Widow action figure two-pack spotted at the 2018 American International Toy Fair

The 2018 American International Toy Fair took place a couple of weeks back; one of the toy manufacturers at the event was Hasbro (of course), who brought with them some of their upcoming toys based on Marvel Comic’s video games.

One of Hasbro’s announcements at Toy Fair 2018 was a Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite two-pack, featuring Black Widow and Ryu. The two-pack is part of the company’s Marvel Universe toy line, and was part of a larger set of toys from various Marvel properties, both film and video games that was shown at Toy Fair.

No word yet on when the two-pack will be released. ToyArk has taken a couple of photos of the figures, which we’ve shared below. You can check out the rest of their coverage here.
