Jay ‘MrUSuk’ Gary shares how to grow a local scene with FGC Philosophy

How do you grow a local scene? What do you do when there’s no one in your city to play? How do you run a tournament when you’ve never run one before?

These are all questions that with Jay ‘MrUSuk’ Gary had to find answers for on the fly. Now that he’s the tournament organizer of the rapidly growing Michigan Masters major and of the already successful — and chaotic — Youmacon, he’s here on the ‘FGC Philosophy’ podcast to share what it takes to stay sane while starting a scene.

Open call for fan artists to contribute to Rival Schools’ 20th year anniversary art tribute

You may remember last year that we ran a story on the massive (and free) digital fan artbook for the 30 year anniversary of the Street Fighter franchise. This project was the result of an incredible amount of love and talent. If you have both of those attributes reserved for another particularly popular Capcom fighting game, you have an opportunity to show that off, too. After the success of our last “Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Art Tribute” we want to go back to school for Justice High’s Big 20th year in style by featuring art by fans from around the world. The forthcoming cover artwork is by community member and amazing artist @ldawb … keep an eye on his profile as he will be dropping images from it very soon!

The final book will be available for free to anyone online and certain pieces will be featured on the @rivalschoolslegacy Instagram to promote it.
