Mitsurugi is one of the most iconic characters of the SoulCalibur franchise. Appearing in every single installment of the series, he’s the closest that the series has to a counterpart to Street Fighter‘s Ryu.
In their latest video for SoulCalibur VI, Bandai Namco shines a spotlight on Mitsurugi. Specifically, producer Motohiro Okubo talks about the character, and shares his thoughts on his design, and how he represents the series.
SoulCalibur VI is set to launch in 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Announced in V-Jump magazine, Goku in his perfected version of Ultra Instinct will be the last DLC character in Extra Pack 2 for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The scan was made by ShonenGamez, and shows off Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku’s attacks and abilities. This new form for the character was also showcased in V-Jump and was scanned by YonkouProductions.

The new form is going to be used against Jiren in the conclusion of the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. The inclusion of the perfected form is more than a bit of a surprise. It appears the new character will be added at almost the same time he is unveiled in Dragon Ball Super — which looks to be in early March. Usually players have to wait a few months for new characters introduced in the series to become playable.
In addition to screens of the new character, we get a sneak peak at what to expect from the new story missions that will come included with Extra Pack 2. Time Patrollers are joined by their mentors as they fight against the mysterious Fu. There still isn’t a concrete release date set yet, but additional details about the character’s abilities, the new story elements, and other surprises are sure to follow this announcement.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is officially one month old, and I’m starting to see a lot of new balance changes shaking up the previous character usage. With all these new match-ups, it’s important to learn the full extent of your own character’s changes. In light of this, I’m doing a series of videos on ShoryukenTube showing off the most important gameplay adjustments for each character. I’m making one video a day in this series, until I’ve covered all characters.
I’m covering the characters in the order they appear on Capcom’s official patch notes. The order seems to be SFV’s twelve returning characters, the four new characters, the first season of DLC, and then the second season of DLC, in order of release. This week I’ve covered the first season of DLC characters: Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri, and Urien.
Continuing with last time, I’m also doing a video covering each character’s new V-trigger II. These new V-triggers significantly affect gameplay, and they have a lot of intricacies that are not well-defined in the game’s demonstration mode. So, I look at each character’s new V-Trigger in detail here, and explain its uses.
That’s 24 characters down, and I’m moving on to the last wave of DLC! Check out my previous videos here:
I’ll continue with both series every day until I’ve covered all characters, which should take about a week now. Keep an eye on the ShoryukenTube YouTube channel, so you don’t miss out!
The legendary Super Saiyans add their power and more in the most recent DLC announcement!
After various rumors, leaks, and datamining, the first DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ have finally been announced! Both legendary Saiyans in their own right: Bardock, the father of Goku who traveled through time, and Broly, the seemingly unstoppable juggernaut with a grudge, will both be coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ very soon. While this still isn’t a complete confirmation of the previously discussed DLC roster, it is a step in that direction.
There is also news about the long since announced FighterZ/Xenoverse crossover DLC. Owners of both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will receive an Android 21 outfit for Xenoverse and a Supreme Kai of Time lobby avatar and stamp for FighterZ. The addition of this collaborative content shows Bandai Namco’s faith that both titles can coexist in Dragon Ball harmony.
