Red Bull is opening their next esports spot, Gaming Sphere, in London

Londoners will soon be able to enjoy their esports in the newest, hottest spot, courtesy of Red Bull. A new Gaming Sphere locale is set to open in London on March 21st, providing the largest public esports space to level up — and size up the competition.

Located in Shoreditch, London, the Gaming Sphere will have all the current generation consoles, PCs, and multiple virtual reality gaming stations. In addition, there will be Sim-Lab racing chassis, as well as Really Good Gaming Chairs. You can see examples of those below in a video with Hashtag Ryan, a pro FIFA player. He showcases the various stations in the locale, which include a “Red vs. Blue” 6 vs 6 PC section with spectator room.

Lucky Londoners will be able to participate in many scheduled events, which include Friday Night Brawls, workshops with pro esport players, and community tournaments. This is the second Gaming Sphere from Red Bull, as the company opened a similar venue in Tokyo, Japan, earlier this year.

Evo 2018 registration leaderboard: Dragon Ball FighterZ currently leads the pack

Will Dragon Ball FighterZ be the biggest event at Evo this year…?

Evo director Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar has given us a glimpse into the registration totals so far for the upcoming battle in Las Vegas: Evo 2018. While he’s keeping the exact registration numbers a mystery for now, he has revealed the overall standings… and currently, the title with the most competitors signed up isn’t Street Fighter V — it’s newcomer Dragon Ball FighterZ! The present registration standings are:

  1. Dragon Ball FighterZ
  2. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition
  3. Tekken 7
  4. Super Smash Bros. Melee
  5. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
  6. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
  7. Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2
  8. Injustice 2

The Crew 2 – PC Closed Alpha Said to be Starting March 14th

According to an email posted over at ResetEra.com, PC closed alpha testers are receiving invitations to take part in a closed alpha event that is slated to begin on March 14th and ends on March 19th. Information provided in the email reminds players that they will be under NDA. Players will be able to check out a number of features including vehicle and housing customization, aerobatics, the powerboats, rally raids and street racing.

Capcom announces new broadcast partners for the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour

There will be a few new ways for you to catch Capcom Pro Tour action this year.

Capcom revealed today that not only will you be able to watch the Capcom Pro Tour’s fierce Street Fighter V battles on the usual Twitch channel this year, but event footage will also be broadcast via two additional web platforms for 2018.

Along with Twitch, you will be able to catch it on the Capcom Fighters YouTube channel, and on the Capcom Fighters Facebook page as well. You’ll also be able to watch broadcasts on the official Capcom Pro Tour website.

The 2018 CPT circuit kicks off with its first Premier event, Final Round 2018, on March 16-18.
