Get ready for Daigo Umehara’s Kemonomichi 2 on March 9th with these competitor interviews!

The Beasts will do battle tomorrow night!

It’s almost time for Daigo Umehara’s second exhibition event, Kemonomichi 2! This event will see first-to-ten fights between legends in three different titles: we’ll see Ito take on Kotaka Shoten in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Tanukana will battle Yuyu in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, and Daigo Umehara faces Tokido in a Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition showdown.

For a closer look at the fighters in Kemonomichi 2, their characters, and their styles, check out the interview videos below; Daigo Umehara, the Kemonomichi competitors, and other players provide insight into all of the above.

Super Smash Bros. project teased for Nintendo Switch, planned for 2018 release

Four years ago, Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U was released. Since then, Nintendo’s “Nintendo Direct” promotional streams have been decried by the increasingly impatient Smash community when they have always failed to mention a sequel to the wildly popular crossover platform fighter. Say what you will about Smash fans, you can’t deny how vocal and committed they are — and now, their prayers and pleas have been answered at last.

Teased at the very end of today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast was a short 1-minute promo: Starting off slyly as (what appeared to be) more Splatoon 2 promotional footage, the tone quickly shifted when the Super Smash Bros. logo appeared in a fiery blaze.

At the time of this writing, it’s completely unclear as to whether this is a port of the Wii U version, or if this is a full-fledged sequel. Nintendo followed up with a tweet confirming that some version of Super Smash Bros. is Switch-inbound this year:

Either way, two things are certain: the Inklings are in, and we will see a decline in the number of Wii U consoles at tournaments at some point this year.

Check out these combos for Omen of Sorrow’s Dr. Hyde and Vladislav III

Back when we tried out AOne game’s Omen of Sorrow at Evo Japan, the game had two new additions, in the form of Dr. Hyde and Vladislav III. Now, AOne Game’s and ETC’s McFly have dropped a a couple of videos for these two, showing off some combos for them.

Now, we’ve talked about Dr. Hyde before — that said, the last time out, the focus was more on his zoning and keep-away game. In the video below however, we finally get a chance to see what he can do in terms of combos.

Vladislav III on the other hand is more of a counter-zoner, with a projectile that lets him teleport in on hit, as well as the ability to chain his normals in quick succession should he get in. When he does, the video below shows some things that he can pull off.

– Reign of Guilds Setting Up for Targeted Late-Alpha Testing

Reign of Guilds Club members will soon be able to take part in a new Private Test Center in order to work with the development team on targeted features for testing. They will be integral to the future development of the game overall, and with providing feedback on various mechanics. While the PTC is not yet online, programmers have already put the back end structure in place and testing should begin soon. Testers will also be rewarded for their time with exclusive items.
