Early looks at the upcoming Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection — due to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime this May — from PlayStation Underground and Maximilian were promising in many ways, but raised concerns about potential issues with the gameplay speed, and a lack of non-arcade features. Thankfully, community hands-on experience with a more recent build brought to Final Round 2018 alleviated a lot of concern: not only were the gameplay speeds apparently more arcade-accurate, but many of the original arcade bugs were found to be intact, minus the game-crashing ones. Offline versus mode for Super Street Fighter II Turbo was also confirmed.

If you want to see more of these games prior to their impending release, Capcom Unity wants to show you! Head over to Twitch today (March 20) at 3:30 PM PT to see some more in-game footage direct from Capcom.

Have a look at the exclusive “Tournament Battle” mode for Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection on Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch hardware lends itself well to a unique aspect of Street Fighter II arcade history.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

Street Fighter fans looking to pick up Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection on the Nintendo Switch will get to experience their own special addition to the Switch version: a re-creation of Super Street Fighter II: The Tournament Battle, an arcade-exclusive version of Super Street Fighter II that utilized four arcade cabinets to provide an eight-player bracketed tournament setting. So, if you’ve got a Nintendo Switch and three friends that are also Street Fighter/Nintendo fans, you can play this variation on the game for yourselves!

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection arrives on Nintendo Switch (and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC) on May 29, 2018.

– Ni no Kuni II: The First Steps

I dove into Ni no Kuni II with few expectations. While the first game was well received I did not play it. So while I’m hopeful this second entry into the franchise will be good I do not come attached with any preconceived notions.
