Defiance 2050 devs Matt “Destromathe” and Chip “Zephkial” were on hand yesterday during a live stream event where the team spoke about the Assault Class that will be part of the game when it launches later this year. A pre-alpha version of the game was shown including the zone map, concept art, in game combat, skills and much more.

Pokkén Tournament DX is getting its second wave of DLC pretty soon. For those who haven’t caught up with the additions coming to the game, some new details and screenshots have surfaced of the latest playable Pokémon, Blastoise.
There’s also two assist Pokémon being added — Mew has a move unique to this game called Miracle Power. This increases the synergy gauge, as well as both attack power and critical hits. Celebi, on the other hand, uses an attack that causes a Phase Shift (which switches the game from 3D arena phase to its more traditional 2D phase), even when it’s blocked.
In addition to these, the DLC will include new player outfits, and outfits for Nia. The player outfits are a Blastoise T-Shirt, Rock Guitar Set, Bi-Colour Hair, Glasses, and a Refreshing Stole.
Finally, along with the DLC, there will also be a special Group Match called “Gun Destruction”. This event, which runs from March 23 through March 25, is a team battle competition held in the Fixed Battle Arena. Participating in the event will earn players a Blastoise-based title reward, as well as other titles based on their placement.
Blastoise, Mew, and Celebi are coming to Pokkén Tournament DX on March 23. In the meantime, check out these screenshots of the new ‘mon, and of Pokkén’s latest outfits.

Looks like the rumors about the White Wolf joining the cast of Bandai Namco’s upcoming fighter were true — Geralt of Rivia is the first official guest character in SoulCalibur VI.
So far, we only have the reveal trailer to look at, but IGN produced a helpful look at the video footage with slowdowns and some speculative analysis. In it, IGN brings up Geralt’s swords — one is steel, and the other is silver, which is used for special monsters.
The SoulCalibur Twitter account wrote that Geralt uses both along with his “Signs” (according to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Signs are “simple magic spells that can prove effective when used properly.”) IGN guesses that the silver weapon would specifically come out for monstrous enemies (e.g. Lizardman), but my personal prediction is that Geralt will take out that sword when activating his “Soul Charge” mechanic. A lot of the video focuses on the Signs that Geralt uses.
We can’t wait to see more of Geralt — and there will be an opportunity to do that at the SoulCalibur VI event in San Francisco at the end of the month.
