NorCal Regionals pumps up the jam with this replay of Windjammers top 8

The Windjammers Flying Power League is bringing back the nineties faster than you can say “Oakley shades,” and their most recent stop at NorCal Regionals 2018 was an amazing display of disc-chucking. With players on the hunt for points, everyone was at the top of their game, and showed off this game’s amazing depth.

With players like Drewchuck, Geordi, and Myname1sjeff in the arena — all of them having strong prowess in this rapid-paced game — this top 8 shaped up to be a stunner.

The original “kast” of Mortal Kombat 2 reunited for a panel at the 2018 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo

When the series was first launched back in the 1990s, one of the things Mortal Kombat was noted for was its use of digitized footage of real people in place of hand-drawn sprites. This eventually made some of these actors familiar names among the hardcore MK fans.

Now, at the 2018 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) the cast of Mortal Kombat 2 got together for a panel to talk about working on the games. The panel features Ho Sung Pak (Liu Kang), Rich Divizio (Baraka), Carlos Pesina (Raiden), Daniel Pesina (Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, and Smoke), John Parrish (Jax), Katalin Rodriguez Ogden (Kitana, Mileena, and Jade), and Dr. Phillip Ahn (Shang Tsung).

For those who missed out on the panel, tabmok99 was able to record the entirety of it and share it onto YouTube. For fans of the series, it’s a great way to learn more about its early days, and about the old-school arcade scene in general.

Check out their video of the panel below.
