Brussels Challenge: Major Edition 2018 streaming live from Brussels, Belgium

Belgium is putting on its own major event this weekend with Brussels Challenge: Major Edition. And as one of the early Capcom Pro Tour Ranking Events, the tournament has attracted some strong players from Europe and beyond. Players will be competing in six of the current most popular titles.

Participants include Bonchan, JohnTakeuchi, GO1, Verloren, Oil King, Problem X, Tyrant, Packz, Ryan Hart, Luffy, Mister Crimson and more.

BEast Arena Hong Kong 2018 streaming live

BEast of the East is hosting the second Asia event in the 2018 Tekken World Tour. Beast Arena Hong Kong 2018 is a Challenger Tournament, with a bracket packed with some of the best Tekken players from South Korea, Japan and beyond. SAINT, JDCR, qudans, JeoDDing, kkokkoma, LowHigh, Yuu, Nobi, NOROMA, TAKE, Tanukana, AK and Doujin are some of the big names that will be competing.

BAHK will also have a Street Fighter V Arcade Edition event. Brackets for both games can be found on Challonge. If you want to watch the event live, head over to Team Spooky’s Twitch channel.

Old dragon vs. new dragon, History Behind the Warrior looks at how Liu Kang has changed in the latest Mortal Kombat games

Just about every fighting game has “that” character — the dedicated warrior who spends time honing their craft, who somehow becomes the hero in the game’s plot. For Street Fighter it’s Ryu, for Virtua Fighter it’s Akira, and for Mortal Kombat it was — or it used to be — Liu Kang. However, Liu Kang isn’t exactly been the same these days, owing to various developments in the series’ overarching storyline.

In their latest episode, History Behind the Warrior takes a unique look at Liu Kang. Instead of just a general history, this episode instead focuses on the changes that have happened to Liu Kang, specifically between his versions from the old timeline and the new timeline as established in Mortal Kombat 9.
