Capcom Fighters shares their top 5 defining moments of NorCal Regionals 2018

“…that was a 15-second combo.”

NorCal Regionals 2018 has come and gone, and with its closing we have a new set of top tier Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition memories highlighted by Capcom Fighters.

Predictably, Tokido was a central star for more than few of these moments — as you would expect from the eventual tournament winner. But NCR 2018 was a tournament of champions tested, controversies, and close calls. Check out the video above to see just a few of the absurd comebacks and tournament-defining matches that made NCR2018 so great.

Bod Count Fighting gives pre-match analysis for BCF5’s Dragon Ball FighterZ featured matches

The upcoming SoCal region Title Event, BCF5, will feature all-star matches up and down the card. Of the three games with top tier matches, the most-represented title is Dragon Ball FighterZ — and it’s no surprise when you see the skill level of the players showing up.

  • dekillsage (champion) vs. Perfect Legend — Title Match
  • Tatsunical vs. Richard Nguyen
  • Supernoon vs. Kizzie Kay
  • Cloud805 vs. NerdJosh

Each of the above matches promises to be a spectacle. As the boys over at Body Count Fighting point out, each of the above players have preformed exceedingly well in tournaments, and most are names with weight beyond just DBFZ. It’s easy to see the winner of any of the under-card matches getting a shot at whoever wins between Perfect Legend and Dekillsage — who do you think that’ll be?

The team is also hard at work on a list of bugs and issues that will be resolved over time.

BornFree catches up with Bonchan at NorCal Regionals to talk about Street Fighter V, waiting for Sagat, and Dragon Ball FighterZ

Bonchan is a man of many hats in the FGC right now, but when his Red Bull hat is on, he’s all business at the joystick. But when he sits down with BornFree, we get to hear an interesting side of the player that we rarely get to hear!

In this interview conducted at NCR, Bonchan talks about his hopes for Sagat in Street Fighter V, as well as how he feels the balance is for the game (prior to the most recent patch), stating that he feels like the lower tier characters are more viable than before.

He also discusses Dragon Ball FighterZ and his hope to learn the game, as well as his road trips that aim to promote local play in Japan.
