The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match launches on April 5 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita

A while back, we reported that SNK was bringing an online-enabled port of The King of Fighters ’97 called the King of Fighters ’97 Global Match to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. Now, we know when the game will come out — at least for the first two platforms.

A post on the PlayStation Blog has revealed that The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match is coming out on April 5 for PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. As for the PC version, no word has been given, as of yet.

Representing the final chapter of the “Orochi Saga”, The King of Fighters ’97 has garnered itself quite the cult following — especially in China. With the online play available in this version, it will allow players from all over the globe to fight each other in this cult classic.

Here we are, the final installment of my interview series with top Dragon Ball FighterZ player Tatsunical!

To cap it off, I’m giving you all a double dose of 5-Minute Focus with a 10-minute episode on improving your defense in DBFZ. I’m doubling-down on this one for two reasons: First, defense-based content is highly requested for this game. Second, because Tatsu gave us such excellent content that I couldn’t bring myself to chop it down into a 5-minute segment!
