Project Genom – Huge Alpha Content Update Now Dated for May 7th

The Project Genom site has been updated with the welcome news that the massive update that has been more than a year in the making will finally be hitting live servers on May 7th. For those who want to try things out ahead of time, the improved and expanded game content is now accessible through a newly deployed Test Branch. The latest developer update provides instructions how to access the Test Branch as well as details what the team is most actively involved with over the past week.

World of Speed – Plans for Moving From Early Access to F2P Are in ‘Full Motion’

The latest World of Speed developer diary has been published on the game’s Steam page. In it, we learn that the next update is in the works and that ‘we are only a few steps from release’ as a free to play game. Players can look for Update 0.3 in the near future that will bring changes to Ranked Races, the addition of the Player Profile that allows tracking of progress and overall performance over the course time.

Fortnite – Tencent to Bring Fortnite to China Along with PUBG & H1Z1

Tencent is setting its sights bringing the battle royale genre to China in a big, big way. Over the past several months, the gaming megacorporation has announced partnership deals to bring PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and H1Z1 to China. Unsurprisingly given the company’s 40% stake in Epic, Tencent has announced that it will also be bringing Fortnite to the Chinese gaming community. Tencent will be investing $15M for the game’s esports potential as well.
