Defiance 2050 – The Ups and Downs of Defiance 2050’s First Beta

Defiance 2050 isn’t a full sequel. I think a lot of people, myself included, expected it to be sort of like Destiny 2. Same sort world, lots of new content and systems changes. That’s not what Defiance 2050 is. Instead, Trion’s essentially giving the game from 2013 a new life on a new console generation, with new visuals, new progression systems, and new tech. It’s up to you, if that’s enough to start over.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – PUBG Corp to Balance Weapons by Nerfing Assault Rifles + Level 3 Helmet Changes

For most PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players, finding an assault rifle is the happy-go-lucky moment when they realize their chances for survival just went up exponentially. That gleeful feeling will be going away soon, however, once the next PUBG update goes into place. According to the latest Steam notes, the patch will balance weapons in terms of damage and provide players with the solace that, even if not finding/using an AR, their damage output will feel just as powerful.

Earthlock: Festival of Magic – A Classic RPG, Finally on the Switch

Earthlock from Snowcastle Games is an absolute nostalgic joy to play. Originally launched as “Earthlock: Festival of Magic” over a year ago, the game has undergone significant improvements with a sort of “Director’s Cut” on PC and the Switch, as well as other consoles. Feeling at once both reverential for classic 16-bit JRPGs and novel due to its western stylized setting and systems, Earthlock is a grand start to an RPG trilogy, and well worth the meagre price of admission.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Netflix Series Producer Confirms 8-Episode Season to Possibly Debut in 2020

The Witcher is coming to Netflix in 2020 according to producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. The news came via Hissrich’s Twitter where she also confirmed that the possible release of the series could come as early as 2020. “We’re moving quickly ahead with everything. I’ve finished the pilot, which yes, will be polished more when we cast/shoot. The other 7 episodes don’t yet exist, except in my head.”

Fortnite – Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins Smashes Own Concurrent User Record

Fortnite seems to be the unstoppable juggernaut and Twitch streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins seems to be the unstoppable force for gathering concurrent viewers. Just last month, Blevins and Drake racked up 600k viewers but over this past weekend, Ninja shattered his own record with 667,000 concurrent users at the peak of his stream during an exhibition at the Luxor Resort & Casino’s brand new eSports Arena.
