With 150 entrants — including some of the top players from the region, like GAM|Caba and DR Ray, Kusanagi, Vertex|ElTigre, Mono and 2017 Capcom Cup Champion RISE|MenaRD, it was certainly a showdown. VODs and stats now available for massive 510-man Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown tournament, the 16th Beat Tribe Cup
102 5-player teams gathered on April 1st in Tokyo, Japan to play Virtua Fighter 5 Final Shodown. That statistic alone is staggering, but it’s not even the most interesting fact in the mountain of data gathered by virtuafighter.com admin Myke for the 16th Beat Tribe Cup event.
And it’s not just stats that he gathered — Myke took the 11-hour archive and dissected, translated, and timestamped each match in the playlist above. The event was originally streamed live on Game Newton Ooyama’s Twitch channel, which hosts several great tournaments for varied games. (And also served as the stream for many Evo Japan side tournaments — be sure to check out their archive!)
