Rage Esports Street Fighter V All-Star League Day 2 results; Team Daigo leads, Haitani is undefeated
The Rage Esports Street Fighter V All-Star League is officially underway, featuring 24 of Japan’s best players in 3v3 team matches. Six team captains were chosen based from the highest-ranking Japanese players on the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour, including Hx.Twitch.CYG BST|Daigo, Echo Fox|Tokido, Fujimura, AW|Nemo, Moke, and Itazan. Captains drafted their teams for the league in May; match play began June 5 and will run until July 28, the weekend before Evo 2018.
The league follows a double round-robin format; each team will play the others twice in a first-to-three set match. During each set the teams select their order and play three matches. The team with two victories will win the set, but each win and loss also counts towards the team’s total round robin score. The three teams with the best records at the end of the both round robins will play each other in the finals on July 28.
The event streams live at 6:00 AM ET/3:00 AM PT/7:00 PM JST at OpenREC.tv. Blade Strangers’ Japanese release date revealed in new trailer
While we’ve known that indie crossover fighter Blade Strangers was launching sometime this Summer, we have yet to receive a specific release date. That is, until now: as a new trailer from the game’s Japanese publisher Pikii has revealed when it’s launching — in that region.
As the new trailer below mentions, Blade Strangers will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Switch in Japan on August 30, 2018.
As for when the game releases in the West (on those same consoles, and PC), no exact release date has yet been revealed by Nicalis.
