Black Desert Online – It’s Not Even Valentine’s Day, But Love is in the Air & You Can Date an NPC
The Black Desert Online site has been updated with a new post to let players know that they can now “date an NPC”. The process is simple. Players simply need to check out the 15 available bachelors and bachelorettes and begin to “build amity” by choosing to give them presents. The process can be accelerated by using Marketplace-registrable items up to 50M Silver. When the Amity level reaches 1,000, it’s time for the big confession of affection. But wait! That’s not all!

Mike Jackson: ‘I Wasn’t Showboating’
In what appears to be a rare case of a fighter having to apologize for a dominant victory, Mike Jackson has found himself on the defensive regarding his three-round blanking of CM Punk in the days since UFC 225.
SoulCalibur VI story mode screenshots show Astaroth and tease storyline
More and more secrets from SoulCalibur VI have been getting revealed, over time. With a newer build, improved UI, and gameplay footage of new characters like Geralt, we’ve learned a lot about the upcoming Stage of History. And lore aficionados can get their fill as well, thanks to a batch of revealing screenshots teasing many plot points of the game.
The SoulCalibur VI story trailer kicked things off, teasing a mix of game-engine rendered cutscenes and rich illustrations with dialogue between characters. We see some new characters show up, such as Xianglian, who is Xianghua’s sister and is very relevant to Story Mode. Notably, one of the screenshots with Maxi features Astaroth in the background; we’re rather expecting the big axe-wielder to show up, but this is definitely additional evidence that he will probably be announced soon.
Other than that, we see lots of Kilik — getting assaulted by Grøh, as well as Nightmare tempting him. Kilik has been stated to be the protagonist, so we’re going to see lots of his internal turmoil with his tainted, demonic side. Also notable is the screenshot with Xianghua wielding Soul Calibur, the counterpoint to the game’s evil sword, Soul Edge. There’s also a screenshot showing the timeline, which is a good indication of how the story mode might actually play out in practice.
Enjoy the gallery below, and make sure to tune in to the E3 SoulCalibur VI showcase.

ZeRo wins the first Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament, the E3 2018 Invitational
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now a reality, and what better way to welcome it than with the Invitational tournament at E3. Even the game’s creator Masahiro Sakurai made an appearance, commenting how worried he was that the game might freeze during gameplay. However, the event had plenty of hype and excellent matches in the brand new game.
Starting at about the 1-hour & 45-minute mark in the footage embedded below, Sakurai greets the crowd. The matches included a variety of settings, including fights with items, some with teams, and some without. The event starts out with some two-on-two action. At the 3-hour & 14-minute mark, special celebrity guests show up. Smash player Nairo played a 3-versus-1 match against celebrities: WWE Superstar Ember Moon, NFL player Mike Daniels, and actress Olivia Holt.
Shortly after that is perhaps the most hype part of the event, the Grand Finals between TSM|ZeRo and Echo Fox|MKLeo. MkLeo manages to reset the bracket, playing Bayonetta at first, then sticking to Sonic. ZeRo goes between Mario and Sheik, but ultimately sticks with Sheik. It looked like he was about to lose, but in the clutch last match with everything at stake, he stays calm and earns to win — becoming champion of both of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Invitationals to date.
It’s important to listen to Sakurai at the end as well, who said that the game is under “constant balancing.” Expect lots to change, but Nintendo already gave a great showing of the next Smash game.
