PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – PUBG Corp Drops Lawsuit Against Epic Games

It appears that the legal tussle between Epic Games’ Fortnite and PUBG Corp’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is at an end. According to Bloomberg, PUBG Corp has sent a letter to Epic Games to inform them that it was dropping the lawsuit originally filed in January 2018. There is no particular reason cited regarding why the suit was dropped, but it is possible that Tencent stepped in to stop the bickering as both companies have a relationship with the gaming conglomerate.

Kingdom Come Deliverance – From the Ashes DLC Announced

Warhorse Studios has announced the first content expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Called From the Ashes, the DLC is expected to launch in July 2018. Players will be introduced to a new way to experience the game by building a new village from the ground up. This provides players with a way “to experience first-hand what it was like to create a new settlement”.

Heroes of the Storm – Secrets of the Storm Comic Hints at World of Warcraft Faction Conflict

The newest Heroes of the Storm comic has arrived that very obviously ties in to the World of Warcraft faction struggle coming in Battle for Azeroth. Interestingly, the WoW pre-patch event is called War of Thorns and one of the central characters in the comic is the Lady of Thorns, a character seemingly on the side of “good” in the Nexus. She alludes to one of the “Nexus realms” being in danger of falling to the Raven Lord’s “evil”.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Job Postings Hint at Possible Multiplayer Component

The CD Projekt Red site has a trio of interesting job postings, two of which are associated with Cyberpunk 2077. The company is seeking both a network programmer and a senior technology programmer. The caveat is that they postings do not definitively state that multiplayer is the target project. However, they do ask for candidates with previous experience in multiplayer shooters.
