Mark “MarkMan” Julio will be showing off the highly-anticipated 3D fighter with the wildly popular Aris of Avoiding The Puddle. The stream will start at 12:00 p.m. PT on ATP’s Twitch stream. In addition to being the most well-known Voldo player in the world, Aris was the SoulCalibur II world champion — his insight and reaction should prove valuable (and interesting) in ways no one else’s would (or could).

Show the CPU the power of your Gougi!

As promised, ARIKA updated Fighting EX Layer to version 1.0.7 last night, bringing an Arcade Mode into the title alongside some system fixes.

#FEXL
<< Update date is scheduled for 16:00 on July 26th Japan time. >>

Ver1.0.7 Changes(appver.1.0.7)

■Addition of a New Game Mode (System)

1) Addition of Arcade Mode
A one-player mode where you fight against the CPU across 7 stages.

— FIGHTING EX LAYER (@FightingExLayer) July 26, 2018

■Revision of a Current System
2) Revision to the transition screen after finishing a Ranked Match.
When you continue searching for a new opponent, you will now be brought back to the previous mode you were playing.
Previously you were brought back to the Main Menu when finished.

— FIGHTING EX LAYER (@FightingExLayer) July 26, 2018

3) Reduced the occurances of stuttering while waiting to find an opponent for
a Ranked Match.

— FIGHTING EX LAYER (@FightingExLayer) July 26, 2018

If you were hoping for something that would elaborate on the stories of the FEXL fighters, you’ll be disappointed — this Arcade Mode is a basic series of seven fights without any intro/ending elements. But it does provide a nice way to practice against the CPU in an venue other than the training stage (as opposed to Kumite Mode). Go dust off your favorite Gougi deck and give it a try.
