ARIKA demonstrates Fighting EX Layer’s upcoming 1.0.7 “arcade mode” patch

As previously reported, an update is set to arrive for Fighting EX Layer that will give it a proper arcade mode. And recently, ARIKA’s Ichiro Mihara took some time to show off some footage of this upcoming update.

The stream — footage of which, you can see below — showed off a build of Fighting EX Layer‘s 1.0.7 patch that they were currently testing, including arcade mode and its features. This includes three difficulty settings (Easy, Medium, and Hard), as well as the expected ability to pick Gougi deck, control type, and color for each character.

No specific date for the update was given, however Mihara did state that they do hope to have it out by this coming weekend.

None of the upcoming free DLC characters were shown, however, as they have stated that they were saving them for Evo.

Fighting EX Layer is currently available on PlayStation 4.

Rend – Playing Around in the Three Faction Warfare Sandbox

Rend is an interesting game any way you slice it. It’s not entirely an MMORPG, as it’s still limited to the smaller numbers of players like Conan Exiles, ARK, and so forth. And yet, the developers at Frostkeep so clearly want to make it very much like the classic three-faction game, Dark Age of Camelot – if DAOC had a baby with the survival genre. And that, it turns out, may just be creating some magic.

Gameplay trailers unleashed for base form Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball FighterZ

“Come on out, full-on ZENKAI power!”

The classic iterations of Dragon Ball Z icons Goku and Vegeta, soon to be playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ, can finally be seen in action thanks to gameplay trailers released by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

These characters are a lot more than just non-blonde (or blue) versions of Goku and Vegeta. They bring along with them classic techniques not seen by the characters since the early days of the series. Take a look for yourself at the character trailers below!

Base form Goku and Vegeta are set to release in early August on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC as a part of the FighterZ Pass or individually for $4.99. Also, don’t forget Nintendo Switch owners, the open beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ starts next month as well!

With all of these announcements and Evo 2018, August is going to be a Super Dragon Ball sized month for Dragon Ball FighterZ fans.

Anthem – No Text Chat in Anthem? Maybe Not According to Creative Director

Anthem Creative Director Brenon Holmes has taken to Reddit to try to explain why the game may not feature any text-based chat channels. The team is facing an FCC deadline to implement accessibility options in game that can include full text-to-speech options. As a result, Anthem will probably exclude even the most basic text chat channels including zone, clan or general.
