Everyone has a fighting chance
The Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen team took part in a special live stream event over the weekend along with CohhCarnage. The replay of the event was posted last yesterday and features the Dire Lord, one of the game’s tank classes.
The World of Speed Steam page has been updated with a new developer blog to provide readers with information about what the team has been working on most recently as the game races towards Open Beta. Most notably, players can expect several new systems to launch after the start of Open Beta including: Clans, new game modes, and a new chat system.
The latest Gloria Victis update has been deployed and players now have the opportunity to place items in the game world. These items include plants, tents and campfires. For instance, players interested in farming can plant seeds, but will need to tend them in order to see them grow to a harvestable state. While outside of settled locations, players can pitch a tent and place a campfire nearby for a spawn point.
According to Polish gaming magazine “Gram” (via PokemonHub), it appears that PvP will be coming to Pokemon Go by the end of this year. The magazine interviewed EMEA Marketing Manager Anne Beuttenmuller, who said, “Now we are working on the PvP mode, which will appear soon.” The team is also working to introduce new Pokemon to the game as well as improve the recently released Trading Mode and “constantly improving the elements that we have available in the game”.
Just about two weeks ago Mercurysteam, the indie developer best known for their work on the Castlevania Lord of Shadows series and Metroid: Samus Returns, announced that their own IP, Raiders of the Broken Planet, would be making the transition to a Free-to-play title August 23. This wasn’t a simple flipping of a switch either as, according to the devs, the game would be undertaking a complete rebranding and would be launching as Spacelords.
It takes a lot of audacity to call yourself the “President of the World” — and that’s exactly how the newest character in the Street Fighter franchise thinks of himself. Considering some of the dizzying options on display in his new trailer revealed at Evo 2018, perhaps there’s a chance he will run things in the tournament world of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.

G wasn’t the only reveal tonight at Evo 2018 — Sagat, one of gaming’s original projectile-crazed zoners, is back. There may have been a consensus in the past that fireballs had a weakness in SFV compared to older games, but Sagat’s uniquely fast recovery — check out the three fireball combo in the trailer! — threatens to change that perception.
At the time of this writing, all we have to go on is the trailers above. That changes tomorrow, though: both G and Sagat can be in your hands on all platforms on 8/6/18. Whether you want to be president or king, your chance for power begins tomorrow!

After the incredibly intense final fights for Dragon Ball FighterZ at Evo 2018, Bandai Namco released a reveal trailer confirming Frieza’s older brother, Cooler as an upcoming DLC character for the game.
While Cooler will more than likely be the main takeaway from the video, the trailer actually begins by delving deeper into the capabilities of the next DLC characters, base Goku and Vegeta, giving off glimpses of their dramatic finishes and special attacks.
After both characters let off their ultimate techniques from their original Saiyan Saga encounter, the trailer transitions into the surprise announcement of Cooler, whose raw power sets himself apart from his golden younger brother.

Goku and Vegeta will be available on Wednesday, August 8th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with the Nintendo Switch open beta following shortly afterward on August 9th.
Kevin Holland was a winner on Dana White’s Contender Series earlier this year, but he didn’t initially win over the man for whom the event is named.
