World Warrior shows off okizeme setups for Ryu’s medium Shoryuken in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

I’m not sure what prompted the internet’s most prolific Ken content creator for Street Fighter VWorld Warrior FGC, to look into Ryu suddenly. But judging by the lockdown potential these easy to hit-confirm combos have, it’s good that he did:

Medium DP allows you to meaty most wake-up options after a quick-rise, including 3-frame normals. It also gives good damage and sets up an easy confirm for both V-Trigger and Super — allowing Ryu to stun some characters in as few as two guesses.

MenaRD’s Capcom Cup Champion’s Choice costume for Birdie is fully revealed

… But it’s still not available quite yet.

In addition to Sakura and Akuma getting new outfits as part of the Capcom Pro Tour 2018 DLC content for Street Fighter V, we’ve been waiting for Capcom to reveal the Champion’s Choice costume for Birdie, designed by 2017 Capcom Cup Champion RISE|MenaRD for his main. After a slight tease, we can now see the costume revealed in full — and unlike previous designs for Necalli and Guile from former champs, this one is essentially a tribute to the Champion himself, full of personal touches to transform Birdie into sort of a Mena-avatar, channeling the Champion into the game itself.

No date of availability has been confirmed yet, only that we’ll gain access to the costume “soon”. You can pick up the outfit as part of the Capcom Pro Tour 2018 Premier Pass, or on its own once it’s been released.
