America’s longest running Virtua Fighter tournament, NYG113, streaming live

If you love Virtua Fighter 5 and wonder what the American scene looks like, there is but one event you’ll want to see this weekend: NYG13. America’s longest running event is made possible by the efforts of iFixMachine, whom have provided arcade cabinets running VF5R and VF5FS.

The tournament itself will be streamed by nycfurby. and will run on Aug 25th at around 5:00 PM Local time. In addition to the prize pool from entry fees, VFDC.com member Harpooneer will be providing a $250 pot bonus to 1st-3rd place in addition to the matcherino for the tournament.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Injustice 2, and Mortal Kombat XL discounted as part of PlayStation’s “Attack of the Blockbusters” sale

Sony has another flash sale up on the US PlayStation Network. This “Attack of the Blockbusters” sale sees a number of games heavily discounted on the PlayStation Store. As part of this sale, a handful of fighting games are also subject to discounts. Specifically, games from the BlazBlue, Injustice, and Mortal Kombat franchises can be had at 40% to 50% off their regular prices.

We’ve listed the specific titles on sale below. Take note that PlayStation Plus subscribers will get an additional 10% discount with these titles.
