Good news and bad news, my friends. Good news is that Namco dropped the previously promised emergency patch for Tekken 7. The bad news is that, at the time of this writing, there’s no information as to what’s actually changed:

Luckily, there were clear targets for this patch: Eliza’s Super Unblockable glitch, Lars’s Rage Drive comboing from F+21, and Katarina’s absurd ff+24 jailing all immediately set Tekken Twitter ablaze when discovered. You can consider these oddities things of the past:

Bug fixes on PS4 so far
Eliza f,F+4,2 Super is no longer guaranteed on block
Bryan's taunt is fixed
Katarina's f,F+2,4 no longer jails
Anna's CJM can now launch low rage drives
Lars f+2,1 is now irrelevant

Tekken 7 update Ver 2.01 is out now for PS4. Official details on Ver 2.01 is being posted on the Tekken 7 website soon. Steam is expected to get this update later tonight. XB1 is getting it tomorrow night (Japan time, 9/12) https://t.co/JQm8VJavMi

If there are other changes, we’ll have to wait until Namco reveals them. In the mean time, we can at least go to sleep without fear of Lars’s F+21.
