Korean in-development RPG brings classic Capcom characters to the mobile world

Korean publishers Kakao Games are releasing a new mobile RPG for Capcom fans.

Capcom Super League Online will feature characters from Capcom’s classic IPs, spanning from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney to the Devil May Cry series.

While the game is as yet unreleased, promotional images from the title tease the possibility of it being a turn-based RPG, where players can form teams of Capcom’s characters to battle against enemies. Further speculation suggests that a gacha-style system will be put in place for players to unlock the characters, due to the sheer amount teased in the images. The title is set to feature a variety of mini-games, as well.

Characters teased for the game include Ryu, Cody Travers (Final Fight iteration), and even Sodom, as shown below.

While a release date has yet to be announced, the game is currently planned as a South Korean exclusive. However, players may pre-register for the title through Kakao Games’ website – provided they speak Korean!

Get ready for the SoulCalibur VI Network Test with these character guides from Bandai Namco

On the 27th, you’ll download the SoulCalibur VI Network Test for either your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. On the 28th, you’ll log on to get (what is likely) your first experience in SCVI. And then, you’ll pick… who? And then what will you do with them?! Oh no! Decisions!

Namco thought ahead and prepared guides both for SCVI’s new system and the 15 characters available during the demo. You can find these guides right here — you’ve got one day to do your homework, warriors.

Star Trek Online to Celebrate CBS’s Discovery Series In-Game

Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment have announced that Star Trek Online players will be able to create their own Discovery-era Federation Captains and work through a multi-part adventure with Starfleet Academy Cadet Sylvia Tilly. Till will be voiced by her Discovery actress Mary Wiseman. The first chapter will introduce a new Discovery tutorial, two episodes, new Reputation Tiers, a new Task Force Operation and other quality of life improvements.

Absolver: Downfall adds a mountain of content to the online fighter

Absolver is arguably one of the most ambitious indie fighters on the market — with customizable movesets, online/offline hybrid gameplay, and an open world as complex as its combat, it seems as though the developers at Sloclap couldn’t possibly offer anything more to the table. Despite this, Absolver‘s first major expansion, titled Downfall, went live just recently.

Adjusting the game at its base, Absolver: Downfall will surely change the way the entire game is played, bringing even more new ideas to the unique 3D fighter. Downfall comes as a free update to the already-released Absolver, which can be found on both the PlayStation Store and Steam for $14.99 (until October 1st — full price is $29.99).
