The King of Fighters XIV is getting a new update this December
Despite being busy with SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy and the upcoming Samurai Shodown, SNK hasn’t forgotten about The King of Fighters XIV. During a recent event, the company announced that the game would be receiving a new update this coming December.
The announcement was made after the KOFXIV Masters Tournament at The King of Fighters Festival 2018. The update itself is set to drop near the end of December 2018. As for what the update entails, no details have been announced as of yet.
The King of Fighters XIV has generally had good balance, especially compared to its predecessor. However, the most recent round of DLC characters have added in some pretty dominating fighters. Whether or not this new update simply addresses that, or adds even more power to the game’s cast, is something we’ll likely find out in the near future.

Justin Wong shares his wishlist for Season 4 in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition
Being a top player — and a legend of the FGC, on top of that — means that your voice carries a little further in the community. With that in mind, Justin Wong just shared his list of desired changes for a theoretical season 4 of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Few names are more well known in our community than multi-Evo champion Justin Wong’s, so we should consider what he has to say — since you know Capcom will, too.
JWong’s list is unsurprisingly conservative: his desires mostly center around pulling back on SFV’s offensive focus via better v-reversals and weakened V-trigger cancels on block. SFV has never seemed to shake the feeling that it leans too hard on crush counter fishing — do you think Jwong’s suggestions will alleviate that?
