VesperArcade talks about potential changes to Guile in Season 4 of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

It’s tempting to want to tweak a character that gets over-represented in tournament play, but the Street Fighter minds over at VesperArcade suggest that despite how good he is, nerfing Guile isn’t necessarily the right solution.

Indeed, in a game as focused on anti-zoning as Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is, Guile is the one zoner that does his job right. Though are maybe a few tweaks VesperArcade would like to see to the boom-chucker going into Season 4, they suggest that we should perhaps be more focused on building a game where all characters are performing their roles as well as Guile performs his.

More Dead or Alive 6 Xbox One and Deluxe Edition bonus costumes revealed

These alternate threads hearken back to the days of Ninja Gaiden.

Way back in September, Team Ninja announced the pre-order and deluxe edition bonuses for the upcoming Dead or Alive 6, disclosing that there would be an Xbox One pre-order bonus Ryu Hayabusa skin along with a deluxe edition Kasumi skin for all platforms.

While the Hayabusa skin isn’t the Halo 3 armor I was hoping for, it is definitely a classic, bringing back memories of Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox — this time with a green paint job. Kasumi’s design echoes her Ninja Gaiden ∑2 appearance.

According to the official webpage for Dead or Alive 6, all digital bonuses are planned to be available for purchase separately at a later date, but this — as are all decisions made while still in development — is subject to change. This will help out those on PlayStation 4 who receive a special theme for pre-ordering the title digitally, instead of the additional skin if it does become purchasable after release.

Also, don’t forget to tune in to Dead or Alive Festival 2018  on November 17 at 8:00 PM PST. The event will be streamed on Twitch, YouTube, and Japan’s own Niconico. Be sure to set aside some time for more Dead or Alive 6 announcements and celebrate the rest of the franchise!

Dead or Alive 6 releases February 15 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam with one more skin that’s currently left to the unknown. There is a second Kasumi skin that is a pre-order bonus for all versions of the game, and it will only be a matter of time until this costume is unveiled!

New details for Nonon Jakuzure and Houka Inumuta in Kill la Kill: The Game released

While we’ve known about Nonon Jakuzure and Houka Inumuta being in Kill la Kill: The Game, it’s only now that we’re getting some details on their appearances in the game.  Arc System Works and APlus Games have released new details and screenshots of these two Elite Four members.

Both these characters will be using their original Three-Star Goku Uniforms from the anime. This isn’t surprising, considering that both Ira Gamagoori and Uzu Sanageyama have been given the same.

Houka Inumuta uses information and confusion to win his battles, with weak hitting attacks but high mobility and the ability to use optical camouflage. Additionally, he has a unique gauge similar to Ira Gamagoori. In his case, this is the “Analyze Gauge” which he fills by hitting the target marker with the clones that are his long range attacks. This gauge can then be consumed to power up his moves. As for his close range attacks, he has his close range kick from episode 10 of the anime. Meanwhile, his special break attack is a counter that activates when he’s hit by his opponent.

Nonon Jakuzure specializes in long range attacks based on sound. Some of her “reverberation attacks” will stay in place for a period of time, allowing her a modicum of advanced space control. Additionally, her melee attack is a two stage shockwave that follows the movements of her baton. Finally, her special break attack fires a large beam from her hat, while her special attack has her rain down sound projectiles all over the stage.

Kill la Kill: The Game arrives on PlayStation 4 sometime in 2019. In the meantime, check out these new screenshots of Nonon and Houka.

Team NINJA shows off digital deluxe exclusive costume designs for Dead or Alive 6’s Tina and Lei Fang

When Dead or Alive 6 arrives in February, one of the packages that fans can buy is a digital deluxe edition with some extras; some of these extras involve exclusive costumes for some of the characters.

Now, Team NINJA has shown off art of two of the costumes for characters receiving these exclusive costumes — the designs in particular are for Lei Fang and Tina. The former’s costume is a sexy cross between “bad girl” and traditional Chinese costumes. The latter’s on the other hand goes for a slightly more stereotypical sexy cowgirl look, similar to what she’s had in previous games.
