Players Will Help Crowdfund World of Warcraft’s Two Esports Championships

World of Warcraft esports is divided into two types: the PvP Arena Championship series and the “MDI” or Mythic Dungeon International. Blizzard has posted an overview of 2019’s upcoming seasonal championship tournaments along with the news that it’s taken a page from other successful esports tournaments. Starting this spring, World of Warcraft players will be able to purchase in-game toys to help crowdfund the prize pools for both tournament seasons.

Crowfall Devs Detail ‘The Road to Alpha’ in New Blog

In a new blog post on the Crowfall site, Creative Director J. Todd Coleman details the “Road to Alpha”, numerically v6.0. Currently, the pre-alpha version 5.8 is live on servers and Coleman writes that it has been “VERY well-received” and has resulted in “both increased player concurrency and a noticeable uptick in new players”.

Bungie Reaffirms Its Commitment to the Destiny Series in a Post-Activision World

In the first “This Week at Bungie” newsletter since the breakup with Activision, Franchise Director Luke Smith reaffirms the company’s commitment to the Destiny series going forward. “We created the universe and we hold its future entirely in our hands. The vast majority of the team is hard at work envisioning future experiences, enemies, and ways to play the Guardian you’ve been building since 2014. We’re going to keep doing that.” he writes.

Latest Dauntless Update Brings a New Behemoth & Customization Improvements

Dauntless has been update to bring a brand new challenge to players. Scorchstone Hellion is a new Dire Behemoth that is “burning it up in the Maelstrom” with it command of lava. In addition, players will find new ways to customize their characters thanks to the addition of new curly hairstyles as well as new customization slides.
