Webzen has announced that Shot Online is heading to Steam in celebration of its 14th anniversary. The classic golf game will arrive on January 22nd and will provide competitive players with something “more than just an online sports game”. Webzen will continue its robust development cadence and will be “supporting new players by providing various packages that contain valuable items”.
The Sea of Thieves team has announced that it’s going to be optimizing the game’s client and overall size in order to smooth and facilitate the patching process. In effect, patches will be able to be deployed live thanks to the new file system. As a result, however, the February 6th update will require players to completely reinstall the game.
The Blade & Soul team is uncorking the champagne for the game’s third anniversary. In one of the more unusual ways to celebrate, players and fans can find a number of opportunities to be entered into a contest to score some custom Blade & “SOLE” Nike. There are a half dozen ways to get your name in for the drawing.

The SMITE site has a forward look at the 6.1 update that is bringing some big, big changes to the game. Most notably, players on XBox One, Switch and PC can enjoy cross platform gaming. In addition, players will enjoy a single SMITE account that is accessible regardless of what platform they are playing on. The good news is that currency, unlocked gods and skins will also be merged.
A welterweight clash pitting Darren Till against Jorge Masvidal will serve as the headliner for UFC Fight Night 147 in London, while another 170-pound clash between Leon Edwards and Gunnar Nelson is set for the co-main event.
Now that the Black Mage has been defeated, MapleStory players are looking for the next “big thing”. On January 23rd, the development team will release an update called “New Beginnings” that will raise the level cap to 275 after more than five years where it currently stands. In addition, there will be new enemies to face off against, four celebratory events to play through and level 200 Genesis weapons to collect.
For those of you who just can’t get enough of Blizzard’s games, the news that four new books will be published in 2019 should come as a welcomed surprise. Art books for Hearthstone, Diablo and for the cinematic art of World of Warcraft will be released alongside a World of Warcraft pop-up book. All four have a “fall 2019” release window.
