The Atlas site has been updated with a new post from the dev team called “The Golden Age of Piracy” that speaks to community feedback on the game being “tailored to large companies, alpha groups, and hardcore players” rather than to smaller groups or individuals. The team is committed to working with the community to “make the game less punishing and reduce the steep climb required for players to reach the parts of the game which make it special”.

The latest update to Fallout 76 will be rolling out today. Patch 5 weighs in at 3.5Gb for consoles and about 500Mb for PC and includes a number of “balance and design changes along with another large wave of bug fixes”. Developers have provided a bit of context for many of the more significant changes directly within the patch notes and have promised to update the notes if additional questions come in from the community.

After Belgium enacted legislation that states that loot boxes violate national regulations against gambling, many companies, including Blizzard Entertainment, removed loot boxes from their games in-country. It appeared that EA would not comply and that it was headed to court. However, EA has “blinked” and told its FIFA players that they will no longer be able to purchase FIFA Points in Belgium. This move brings EA in compliance with Belgian law.
It’s a huge day for fans of Diablo II as the Median XL mod has finally been released. The mod is a complete overhaul of the game that brings new and revamped skills, deep customization options, “extensive endgame content”, thousands of new items, and multiple other improvements to the base Diablo II game.
