RuneScape is bringing an epic storyline to a close with today’s update. Devs are inviting players to “plunge into the underwater depths of The Shadow Reef”, the final chapter of the Elite Dungeons storyline. Elite Dungeons is a three dungeon storyline “where players can buddy up or go solo in a raid-like experience”. All RuneScape players have access to all three.
The Black Desert XBox team took to the airwaves over the weekend to reveal its plans for the game over the next several months. Players can look forward to a number of new additions to the console version including: the Mediah, Valencia and Kamasylvia zones, class Awakenings, Absolute Skills, the removal of the level cap, Node / Siege Wars, World Bosses and four new classes.

In this year’s report of the 100 most overpaid executives, two gaming CEOs made the list: EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson and Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick.
It’s something that hasn’t been seen or heard of in more than a few months, but it appears that Fortnite’s month-over-month revenue has declined by nearly 50% in January. The news came via the latest Super Data Research report that also reveals that sales of Fortnite are “still up signficantly year-over-year”.
For those looking forward to Obsidian Entertainment’s next RPG, The Outer Worlds, the wait may be shorter than expected. According to SteamDB, The Outer Worlds is targeting August 6th. The Steam page has since been edited to remove the date, but the SteamDB entry still reflects the original information. Of course, as with all things of this sort, it’s best to take the leak for what it’s worth.
Over the weekend, the Ship of Heroes team laid out the first details about the Mission System in the game and the mechanics behind them. In an interesting twist, devs revealed that players will be able to slightly scale difficulty for “most missions”. A level 20 player may, for instance, scale up the mission difficulty for enemies to be level 21 or scale down the mission for enemies to be level 19.
