Silicon Knights Veteran Denis Dyacks Revives Himself with New Studio & F2P ARPG

Silicon Knights and Precursor Games veteran Denis Dyacks is back in business after an extended absence from game development. Dyacks started with Silicon Knights before leaving to form Precursor Games where he lost a court fight with Epic Games leading to bankruptcy. He’s back and reinventing himself yet again by forming Apocalypse Studios in Canada and working hard on a free to play ARPG / multiplayer game where the player is undead and fighting the living.

There’s More Than One Way to Earn Big Bucks This Week in Grand Theft Auto Online

Rockstar is offering its Grand Theft Auto Online players a bunch of ways to earn big bucks this week by taking part a trio of different activities. These include The Data Breaches, The Bogdan Problem and The Boomsday Scenario. Each of these will see players take home 2x GTA$ and RP payloads. Double GTA$ and RP can also be earned in the Arena War Series and players can unlock the Principe t-shirt just for logging in.

H1Z1 Battle Royale for PS4 Updated with Season 3

H1Z1 Battle Royale for PlayStation 4 has been updated to bring Season 3 online that includes a new 50-player free-for-all Deathmatch mode, Ranked Leaderboards, and the new Battle Pass that includes “100 reward tiers across both free and premium lines”. There are also a pair of new bundles available in the PlayStation Store.

Updated & Confirmed: ArenaNet Announces Layoffs, How Many As Yet Uknown

Kotaku has just published an article suggesting that ArenaNet is j”planning big layoffs” according to one person inside the company. The article further states that, while the number is not yet known, it will be a “significant number of people”. Lead Game Designer Jennifer Scheurle has confirmed the layoffs via Twitter. The employee meetings have been completed as of this writing, while those affected are processing the news.
