Guild Wars 2: Tracking Projects

One of the things I love about Guild Wars 2 is there is never a shortage of things for me to work on. However, this is also the biggest issue I have in GW2… I have so many projects I’m working on I sometimes forget what I’m working on! Some of this is my issue because I can’t just focus on one project at a time, but some of this is an issue with how the UI in GW2 works.

Sources Reporting EA & Tencent May be Working to Bring Apex Legends to China

According to the South China Morning Post, EA and Tencent currently in negotiations to bring Apex Legends to China. Western companies like EA are required to have a local partner in order to publish games in China, hence the possible cooperation with Tencent. This would make the third blockbuster battle royale Tencent is publishing in China, with Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds already under its belt.

The Blizzard Problem

This was a tough week for anyone who works for Blizzard Entertainment or anyone who is a fan of the games. The Blizzard community has grown and fostered over many years now. Always heightened at BlizzCon the company was preaching unity, equality, and passion for their games worldwide. This message rung true to millions and it showed. However, all that began to take a turn for the worse these past few months.

Anthem Review-in-Progress – A Solid First Impression

In all the years I’ve been doing this, I don’t think I’ve ever gone into a review anxious. I’ve been looking forward to Anthem since its announcement at EA Play in 2017, but that demo EA put out a couple of weeks ago rattled me. I’ve only spent a couple of hours with the launch version of the game, but I’m glad to be able to report that, at least so far, things are looking a whole lot better.

Population Zero Team Details the Technology & Science System

The Population Zero site has been updated with a new blog that provides details about one of the game’s core systems: Technology & Science. In it, devs describe four areas of science, namely survival, mechanical, metallurgy and chemistry. Each branch is individually expanded through exploration that expands the player’s knowledge base. As expected, the more knowledge gained, the higher the science level and the more production schemes will become available.
