The RPG Files: Kingdom Hearts 3 Review

As the credit rolled onscreen, I sat in disbelief at the journey I was just on. Almost seventeen years of storytelling wrapped up in a 30-hour ride of joy, sadness, laughter and anger – and I couldn’t believe it was over. Yet, even at the end, Kingdom Hearts 3 left even more questions than answers, prodding me to immediately load up my save and start playing it again, desperate to capture any detail I might’ve missed previously.

Guild Wars 2: Playing Together or Getting Further Apart?

After more than six years, I can still remember finding ArenaNet’s approach to gathering mind-blowing. Like world events and mob tagging, the gathering system in Guild Wars 2 dragged us out of the dark ages. In a move that seems almost obvious now, ArenaNet instanced gathering nodes, materials, and collectible resources to individual players wandering the Plains of Ashford or skipping through the Streets of Divinity’s Reach.

Impressions of Amazon’s New World

On Tuesday, February 5th, the good people at Amazon and Fortyseven invited a group of game enthusiasts to attend an Alpha event to get a glimpse at the progress being made on their New World project. Not only were we given time to experience the game in its present form, but we were also taken on a tour of the dynamic Company vs. Company warfare that awaits players in this large scale PvP title.

Geralt of Rivia Now Ensconced in Monster Hunter World on Consoles

Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher himself, has arrived in the console version of Monster Hunter World to take on “an otherworldly creature” that has arrived in New World. Voiced by original series actor Doug Cockle, Geralt will have “all new mysteries to solve and gear to craft” during his time in the game. Players will be able to complete a special assignment to craft “the Geralt full set of armor” as well as the “Witcher’s Silver Sword”.
