Everyone has a fighting chance
The Heroes of the Storm PTR has been updated with a large patch that lays out big changes coming to several heroes, including Chromie. In addition, the game’s next event, Caldeum Complex, is revealed and devs announce the merger of both the Hero League and Team League. The new competitive play is called “Storm League” and is available to players with at least 16 heroes and an account level of 50+.
We are growing gradually closer to the actual round-robin team competition in the US-Pro 2019 Street Fighter League; the Community Vote process has completed, adding six new warriors to the winners of the online qualifier events — and giving us a total of twelve players ready to be drafted into six three-player teams by the Team Captains from CPT 2018.

ESPN is pretty close becoming a one-stop shopping destination for fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Rift Twitter has a mysterious new post saying that “The Battle Pass is coming soon!” However, there is no further information about what exactly that means for the game, though the tweet goes on to ask what players “wish to see”. Respondents in the Twitter thread are rather snarkily responding that, with more information, they might have a few suggestions.
One Championship’s upcoming flyweight tournament has undergone a change after Andrew Leone had to withdraw from the bracket due to injury.
Automatic Demolition was disabled temporarily on the Aether/Primal Data Centers back in October of 2018 due to Hurricane Michael. For those that don’t know, or don’t remember, Hurricane Michael devastated Florida as it moved through the panhandle and into Georgia and North Carolina. Millions of residents were left without power, many without a home. Square Enix saw this and placed a hold on the Automatic Demolition system to prevent people from losing even more.
A new game has surfaced with its first prototype trailer. Called “Towers”, the game is said to take inspiration from Breath of the Wild, Studio Ghibli, Harvest Moon and more. Towers features gliders, climbing, farming, town building and cooperative multiplayer. The team at Dreamlit Entertainment consists of just six developers, the “core founders and developers of Hawken, a mech shooter from 2012, according to IGN.
On May 15th, The Culling will cease to exist. The team let fans and players know via the game’s official site in a brief dev diary called “So Long, Farewell!” The reason for the closure, despite the “Origins” F2P launch last year, did not generate enough revenue to “sustain our team and support ongoing development” of the game. Without revenue, staff has been let go and the team has been “render[ed] unable to provide ongoing support and updates that would allow the game to grow & thrive”.
Fury FC 31 marked a move to a new venue for Texas’ Fury Fighting Championship, and with four first-round finishes — and only two of the 10 fights making it to the final bell — the celebration included plenty of fireworks.
