The Division 2’s Massive Endgame

Watching Massive’s Endgame info dump livestream yesterday, I found myself nodding so often I could have probably hurt my neck. I can’t possibly speak to how good of a game The Division 2 will end up being at this point, but one thing’s for sure, it won’t be lacking in endgame content.

En Masse Announces Closure of Kritika Online on April 30th

En Masse Entertainment has announced that it will be sunsetting Kritika Online on April 30th. From now through that date, the game will be in maintenance mode with several changes starting today. Players will not be able to create new Kritika accounts, EMP cannot be used in-game after today and all EMP items are removed from the shop. Everything in the Kred shop will be reduced to zero cost and Kred amounts will be converted back to EMP.

Diablo 1 Takes a Portal to GoG.com with QoL Improvements Including Hi-Res Support

Even though Diablo 2 has been available as a “classic game” on Battle.Net for years, Diablo 1 never has been…until now. The game has never appeared anywhere else except in physical editions. However, all that has changed with today’s release of Diablo 1 over at GoG.com for $9.99. This marks a turning point for Blizzard games that have never appeared in any other form than physical and / or on Battle.Net.

World of Warcraft Portal Removal in 8.1.5 Sparks a Firestorm of Controversy

While World of Warcraft v8.1.5 adds a lot of new content, it also will be removing things from the game. In this case, many of the portals that get players around Azeroth in a timely fashion are being taken out to keep “the world having a meaningful size”. However, this design decision has sparked a massive backlash with the community, with several threads topping the 5,000 response mark. A new dev post acknowledges the outcry but essentially says, “Sorry, not sorry. We’re sticking to it.”
